Susie’s Mac & Cheese
The worcestershire and beer give the mac and cheese a pubby taste, albeit a homemade pub!

1 box of elbow macaroni
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
6TB butter
S&P
6TB flour
3 cups of milk
1 cup of beer
2tsp worcestershire
1tsp salt
6 cups of shredded sharp cheese
1 cup of panko breadcrumbs
2tsp melted butter

Cook macaroni as directed, erring slightly on the undone side

Drain well and pour macaroni into a greased casserole dish, set aside

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

In a large pot or large deep saute pan, saute onion on medium low in the 6TB of butter and S&P until tender

Stir in flour

Then add milk, beer, worcestershire and salt, stirring well

Add cheese, stirring until melted

Pour your sauce over the macaroni in the greased casserole dish

Mix the panko breadcrumbs & melted butter and sprinkle over mac and cheese

Cover and bake for 30 minutes

Uncover and bake for another 10 minutes
Make sauce in a big pot as beer gets a little frothy!
