Debby’s Crab Melt Away
My mom used to make these a lot back in the 80s . . . I think she needs to bring'em back, they sound really yummy! And also sound good with a cold lager.

1 stick of margarine or butter
6oz. Old English Kraft cheese
1/2tsp. seasoned salt
dash of garlic powder
dash of Old Bay seasoning
2TB mayonnaise
1/2 pound of crab meat
1 loaf cocktail rye or pumpernickel bread

Mix together all ingredients except crab meat and bread

Add crab meat and stir well

Dollop and spread on individual rounds

Place rounds on flat dish(es) that will fit in your freezer

Freeze prepared rounds for 30 minutes

Remove from freezer and broil for 2-3 minutes

Let rest on cooling rack for 5 minutes before serving on platter
