Mom’s Bread Pudding

This recipe is so yummy and works in a bunch of scenarios! Playing around with bread and sweet vs. savory proportions can turn this into a great side dish too like Yorkshire Pudding!

 3 cups of old bread, roughly torn (raisin bread is delicious here, but experiment!)
 3 cups of milk
 3TB butter
 1/4 cup of sugar
 Pinch of salt
 2 eggs
 Vanilla extract
 Ground cinnamon

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Lay chunks of bread in a loaf pan, set aside

Heat milk, butter, sugar and salt until it all melts together

Set aside and let mixture cool to room temperature

Beat eggs & vanilla in small bowl and add to milk/sugar/butter mixture

Pour this mixture over the bread in baking dish

Sprinkle cinnamon on top of the bread/batter mixture

Place loaf pan in a pyrex brownie pan 1/2 filled with water

9

Place grouping into oven and bake for one hour
