Aunt Jane’s Rum Cake
Aunt Jane's scRUMptious rum cake! Sounds pretty rum-tastic, but still safe for the kiddos . . . perhaps in small quantities though 🙂

Cake
1 pkg. Duncan Hines cake mix: dark chocolate, pudding in the mix variety
1 pkg. instant chocolate pudding, small box
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup rum
1/2 cup water
3 eggs
Glaze
1 cup granulated sugar
1 stick butter
1/4 cup water
1/3 cup rum

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Combine all and beat on med/high for three minutes, scraping bowl as needed

Pour into a greased Bundt pan and cook for 50 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean

Let cool
Glaze

Combine all glaze ingredients in small saucepan and boil until all sugar is dissolved

Use skewers or toothpicks to make lots of small holes into your rum cake

Carefully spoon glaze over cake, focusing on the holes

Continue until your cake is quite soaked

Save and warm any remaining glaze to serve on slices
